Full Day Guided Fly Fishing
Fiordland & Southland, New Zealand
A full day with Chris is the complete Fiordland fly fishing experience. You'll fish seven to nine hours on water carefully chosen that morning based on conditions, season, and your skill level. From roadside streams with clear sightlines for spotting large fish, to remote backcountry rivers tucked into the heart of the National Park — every day is different, and every day is planned around putting you in front of the best fishing available.
This is the trip that experienced international anglers travel to New Zealand for.

The Day
Pick-up from 8:00–8:30am. Drive time to your river of the day is 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on conditions — Chris decides which location based on his knowledge of local weather conditions. You'll arrive, rig up, and Chris will walk you through the plan for the day.
Fiordland fly fishing is almost entirely designed around sight fishing — spotting fish in clear water and presenting a fly to a specific target. It requires patience and technique. Chris will coach you through it regardless of your experience level, but the reward when it comes together is unlike anything else in the sport.
Lunch is taken streamside, wherever the day finds you.
Return to Te Anau by approximately 5:30–6:30pm.
